About

ENG

I’m an Italian freelance journalist and social media consultant currently based in Rome.

I’m obsessed with good writing and social media. My weapons of choice are a pen and a notepad, but I’m pretty handy with cameras too. I lived in Paris for two years to obtain a Joint Master’s degree in Journalism and International Affairs. It worked.

I was the 2020 Google News Fellow at La Repubblica: I helped launch the publication’s TikTok profile and I wrote news and analyses on foreign politics – including covering the U.S. elections. I’m currently the Communications Consultant for ARTE Europe in Italy.

I’m bilingual in Italian and English and fluent in Spanish and French. I can code HTML and CSS and I’ve been in charge of managing social media for a number of online newspapers, associations and NGOs in the past. My words have been published in The Correspondent, Euronews, Are We Europe, Cafébabel, Lady Science, and Novara Media as well as several Italian publications – including Mashable and Rolling Stone. I regularly contribute to a weekly newsletter about American culture and Politics: Jefferson – Lettere sull’America.

I’m passionate about some good, old-fashioned European and American politics (and geopolitics), women’s and LGBTQ+ rights, social inequalities, environmental issues and solutions, religions, and… internet culture. I’m probably all caught up with the latest tv series, too.

Previously… I grew up in rural Italy, won two nation-wide creative writing awards for short stories while in high school, then moved to the border with Slovenia to study International Relations. I swung by Vienna for a couple of months to work for the Austrian section of PEN International, an ONG protecting the freedom of expression of writers and journalists around the world.

Nata nel 1995, vivo a Roma dopo due anni a Parigi, tre sul confine con la Slovenia e venti nella campagna padovana. Ho passato qualche mese a Lione, Vienna e New York.

Ho scritto per Limes, Il Manifesto, Rolling Stone, Mashable, The Vision, TPI e The Submarine in italiano, ma anche per The Correspondent, Euronews e Are We Europe in inglese. Colleziono newsletter nella posta in arrivo e collaboro a Jefferson – Lettere sull’America.

Ho conseguito una doppia laurea magistrale in Journalism and International Affairs a Sciences Po Paris dopo una triennale in Scienze Internazionali e Diplomatiche all’Università di Trieste. Mi occupo di relazioni internazionali e Europa, questioni di genere e diritti LGBTQ+, ambiente e diseguaglianze, meme e cultura pop.
